The Handicraft of SITE-character

SITE-character was developed with Flash, which now enables that the images can be administered in an Internet browser. Thereby, on the one hand, direct interactions are possible with the Web; on the other hand, any interfaces can be set up technically to regulate the recording.

For SITE-character, individual tools originated for setting up a recording. Input screens enable a huge number of formative connections of the individual images and clips. In particular, a structure of "Layers", which can be set up indefinitely, is available. Now all images, which were distributed on different layers, can overlap each other in a desired way (blending modes) and thereby appear constantly in a new visual effect.
Animation modes are set up separately for every project, with which the individual images or clips are moved or transformed in another form.
An unlimited combination of the images with each other, which changes constantly in its aesthetic effect by the overlapping, is formed from the linking of the different layers with the animation modes.
This procedural structure can be influenced formatively by the adjustable rules for overlapping. Thus the desired moods can be programmed very much specifically.
