Every façade is fixed in its character by its construction and thus has a more or less strong radiation. Now the mediatization of a façade enables to influence the character of an architecture in an individual and flexible way. This enactment, formed by SITE-character, combines with the character of the architecture and inserts it in an urbane scene, which is immediately defined by moods, ideas and social interactions. The architecture thus gives up its static definition and now transforms its character fluently, for example, from emotional to austere. How it reacts, is determined by the operator when he determines the rules for the interactions.
Thus the façade can react to processes with the operator himself or to influence from the outside – an emotional flexibility emerges. The façade has, for example, another character when it is raining than in sunshine or the user of the building has to celebrate something and would like to allow this joy to radiate outwards. In addition no new content must be produced, but only the set of rules must be configured appropriately to call formerly produced images and videos in a sophisticated way and to let them overlay with each other in such a way that the appropriate mood is generated. Only the way of this combinatorics enables the construction of the different characters. The changes in moods can be released automatically by sensors and intelligent interfaces.
